Thanks to your support, a local foundation that recognizes the great work we are donated $5,000 in matching funds to help us keep building our project.

What we’ve done, entirely on volunteer hours, is impressive. We have helped make fifteen loans totaling nearly $465k! We need money now for paid part-time administrative staff to help follow-up with potential lenders and loan applicants so we can keep making new loans.

Slow Money NC

We are a “membership” project, organized along the Slow Money principles. Many of us have “investments.”  Most of which travel the globe at the speed of light and have no relationship to us, or the products we use, or to the community which is North Carolina. We think we need to change that.  And we would like you to get involved.
