Hidden World of Nutrition Workshop

From the compost to the soil and finally to the mature plant there are unseen components that create a synergy between plants and their nutritional value to humans.
Is nutrition just a matter of protein, fats and carbohydrates or is there a coherent relationship between plants and humans that leads to a deeper level of nutrition? In this workshop we’ll discuss the inner dynamics of nutrition and look at methods such as chromatography and brix refractometry that analyze mineralization and ripeness of the plant and thus it’s nutritional quality.
If anyone would like to have their own soil, compost or produce analyzed by chromatography please contact Ron Veitel at 919-533-6076 1 week before the workshop.

About the Instructor
Ron Veitel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and is a Certified Nutritional Consultant and a Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor. His career has led him from working for and with health food stores around the country to consulting with doctors practicing nutrition throughout North and South Carolina and as the Director of Education for MegaFood Vitamins, a whole food nutrient company, where he lectured on the synergistic relationship between nutrients and food throughout North America. Currently he is the Nutritional Consultant for Integrative Functional Medicine in downtown Pittsboro.
