Farmer Education & Incubator

The small independent farm has had a major dis-advantage because of the competition from agri-business. As we begin to understand what farms and which farmers are already a part of our regional food system, we can coordinate and offer all kinds of community support and educational programs that will help insure the future success of our local producing farms.

Our region is filled with of individuals who want to contribute to or who want to know how we can supply our region with quality food. We also have a huge number of skilled individuals who could offer skill sharing workshops. As we develop our system to educate our apprentices we can offer our farmers free labor in exchange for sharing their experiences. Our farmer incubator farms are going to be able to offer our apprentices who are ready to go to another level of being more independent.
