Join Rebekah Hren in building a small scale solar electric system for an off-the-grid office!

Interested in solar electricity? Start learning with this intensive two day class covering off-grid solar electric basics. Hands-on: students will help install a code-compliant 500 watt PV system on a small cabin.

Topics include an introduction to load calculations, batteries, charge controllers, metering, PV wiring, safety, and National Electric Code requirements.

Rebekah has lived off-grid for a majority of the past decade, and will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of off-grid PV systems. Off-grid systems are relied on around the world for water pumping, lighting systems, and remote location applications.

Workshop will be held mostly outside.

Wear closed toe shoes, gloves, long pants and warm clothes.

Please bring water and any small hand tools you have such as:
