Age of Stupid
We are pleased to announce the Not Stupid Award was given to the Crop Mob! Rob Jones humbly accepted their certificate and told the crowd why they were not stupid. Angelina’s Kitchen came in second. Congratulations to you both!! Some bananas were passed around that had been grown locally and a good time was had by all. Except, we only have 5 years to get this climate change thing under control. If you are wondering what to do about climate change, start educating yourself today!
A huge thank you to Kristin Henry and Chris Jude for putting this all together. Kristin is part of Working Films and Chris is part of Piedmont Biofuels.
There are about a million articles, books and websites on the subject.

The Age Of Stupid is the new cinema documentary from the Director of ‘McLibel’ and the Producer of the Oscar-winning ‘One Day In September’. This enormously ambitious docudrama stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as an old man living in the devastated world of 2055, watching “archive” footage from 2008 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change while we had the chance?
The screening will be followed by an event with host Gary Phillips, Abundance Board of Directors, Weaver St. Realty and Community Activist. He will be awarding an individual or organization who is doing something revolutionary to promote sustainability with a Not Stupid Award.
